Caiden once again had a very serious and thoughtful (yet hilarious at the same time) conversation with Scott tonight before his bath. It went something like this:
Caiden: "Dad, did Jesus go to Head Start?"
Scott: "No, they didn't have Head Start when Jesus was a boy."
Caiden: "Who taught Him, then?"
Scott: "His parents taught Him."
Caiden: "Did they teach Him school stuff?"
Scott: "Yes, they taught Him how to read, write, and speak, but Heavenly Father taught Him about who He really was - that He was special and would be the Savior."
Caiden: "I want to be a Savior someday, too."
Scott: "Well, there's actually only one Savior, but you can try to be like Jesus. Like by being good and obeying your parents ... so go get in the shower."
Caiden: "Okay.
The song by Janice Kapp Perry reminds me of so much of Caiden as he strives to be like our Savior every day.
