We left on our cruise from the Miami cruise port, aboard the Carnival Valor. When Caiden saw the ship for the first time he couldn't believe how huge it was. We were happy that embarking went so smoothly. There was extra paperwork to fill out this time though. With the Swine Flu (H1N1) having caused so many problems, you had to state in a letter that you were fit to travel. Now honestly, how many people after traveling hundreds of miles are going to say they have been sick? My guess- is not many!
Miami water looked nice. We are going to have to take a trip just to go diving here.

Caiden used many different ways to find our stateroom. He first would look for what deck we were on....
and then he would look for the art work down the hallways. George Washington was on the wall panel by our door. He was really good at finding his way 'home'. We loved our stateroom this time. It was spacious and had tons of drawers, shelves and 2 armoires for our hanging clothes. The best things about our room were the comfy king size bed and the nice size bathroom. Sometimes bathrooms on other ships are no bigger than airplane bathrooms with a shower.
When Caiden discovered his bed, he was so excited. It dropped down from the ceiling. The duvets and pillows were so soft and comfy that Caiden never woke up in the middle of the night. He loved how soft and plush his little bed was.
Our first day on the Ship was spent just getting acquainted with our surroundings. We loved where our stateroom was located this time. We only had to walk up one deck to the Lido pool deck or down two decks for the Washington dining room. We took Caiden to see the kid area and he was hooked from day one! He had never seen so many cool toys in his life.
Caiden is wearing his shirt from the T-shirt coloring party....(I loved that all the activities they did with the kids were free with the exception of build-a-buddy.)
I wish I had of taken more pictures of Camp Carnival. They had so many neat toys and electronics.
These were the people that we ate dinner with every night. We enjoyed one of the couples... The other, not so much. There daughter was a maniac and was not well behaved. Call me crazy, but if you have glass goblets, fine china and linen tablecloths, it is not the place for you to let your child act like they are at a McDonald's Play-land.
